Max-Em provides current and unique information about emulators and emulator scenes for popular platforms and legacy systems.

Currently, the site details a growing variety of emulators which function on Windows, OS X, Linux, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, iPhone/iPod touch, and other platforms. Emulator author, configuration/installation information, and other info - related to each platform or topic - is discussed.

The site is an evolving CMS, controlled by a custom object-oriented PHP framework, both created by Chris Santala. It is coded in valid XHTML (well..mostly), CSS, Javascript, AJAX, PHP, and XML, has RSS feeds (updated several times a week), uses MySQL databases, and exists in three environments - local, staging, & production and was initiated on August 2006.

The site is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 to 8.x, Firefox 1.5 to 3.x, Lynx, and the latest versions of Opera, Safari, and Chrome for Windows & Safari, Firefox, and Opera for the Mac. It also functions nicely with Safari on the iPhone and the iPod touch.
